Will you provide MC/coordinator on the day of the funeral?    

We generally recommend that the MC or coordinator be a close family member or friend, as this can provide a more personal touch to the service.

During our initial visit to your home, our committee members will talk through your needs and explain the services we can offer to support you and your family before and on the day of the funeral.

What support do we receive on the day of the funeral?

On the day of the funeral, the Trust can assist by providing floral tributes or light refreshments. In addition, we offer essential information, guidance, and caring support to help families navigate the day with dignity and reassurance.

Which funeral undertakes do we use?

The committee members attending will provide you with options for you to choose.

What is the cost of a funeral?

Funeral costs can vary depending on the services and options selected. A typical funeral starts from approx. $6,000. A budget Cremation only, costs approx. $2,000. A funeral director will meet with you to discuss the available packages and help you choose an option that best suits your needs and circumstances.

We cannot afford the funeral cost, how can we obtain financial support to pay for the funeral?

Funeral costs could be significant and unexpected. If you are unable to cover these expenses, we recommend contacting Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ) for assistance. *Terms and conditions may apply.

Contact your insurance company because most life insurance policy’s have a funeral cover built in, which should pay out within 48 hours after submitting your claim. 

I want to hold the funeral back in my home country, How do i take my loved one home?

Repatriation Services – Most Funeral Homes offer a complete worldwide, and New Zealand Repatriation Services. Our Team can provide assistance when we meet.

Can I arrange a zoom link for my family back home?

In most cases, funeral parlours provide this service or will provide you with contact details. 

Can I provide a photo slide presentation at the funeral parlour?

Most funeral parlours provide this service.
